Code Freeze & Launch Preparation

Code Freeze

No more changes go into the codebase. The store is locked in its approved state. This keeps things stable and removes any risk of last-minute issues. Only critical fixes are considered at this point.

Launch Preparation

We set up your domain, configure payment gateways, verify all third-party services, run final performance checks, and go through a detailed launch checklist. Everything is ready for go-live day.

A set weekly call with you to share progress, walk you through completed work, and talk through anything that needs your input or decision. You always know where things stand.

All tasks, timelines, and updates live in our internal project management tool. You can check what is happening, what is coming next, and where we are in the process at any time.

Early Flagging of Blockers

If anything needs your attention, whether it is a decision, content, access, or feedback, we bring it up right away. We never wait until it becomes a problem. Transparency means acting early.

How merchants pay (milestone option)
  • Milestone schedule — Before work starts, we agree on milestones (for example: project kick-off / deposit, Discovery sign-off, Design approval, Development midpoint, pre–UAT freeze, and launch). Each milestone has a scope gate and an estimated hour band so you know what triggers the next invoice.
  • Invoice at each milestone — When a milestone is met (deliverable accepted or phase signed off), we send an invoice for hours logged against that milestone at $55/hour, plus any agreed retainer or minimum for that phase. You pay per the terms on the invoice (e.g. Net 7 / Net 15) before the next major phase begins.
  • What you see as a merchant — Time entries map to tasks in our project tool so you can reconcile hours to outcomes. If a milestone runs over the estimate, we flag it early and agree on scope or budget before continuing.
  • Out-of-scope work — Anything outside the signed milestone scope is quoted separately or rolled into the next milestone so billing stays predictable.

Typical milestone map

Kick-off deposit → Discovery complete → Design approved → Build midpoint → Client QA complete → Launch & 30-day support window. Exact splits are set in your SOW.

Merchant responsibility

Approve or request changes within the agreed window for each milestone so the team can stay scheduled. Timely payment unlocks the next phase and keeps your launch date on track.
